Printer supply retailer InkCartridges.com recently announced its ongoing commitment to environmental health. The online retailer has taken several steps to ensure the company's carbon footprint remains minimal. With several initiatives already in place, InkCartridges.com continues to implement new strategies to reduce its environmental impact.
InkCartridges.com has been helping the United States reduce its waste since 1999 by allowing Americans to recycle the nearly 300 million ink cartridges that are thrown away each year. By recycling and repurposing discarded cartridges, InkCartridges.com helps to conserve energy, protect renewable resources and save customers money.
Every master carton used for InkCartridges.com is recycled and the recycled printer cartridges are then packaged with 100 percent recyclable paper in lieu of foam peanuts or plastic air pillows. Additionally, the InkCartridges.com warehouse recently installed energy-efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems to reduce energy consumption by more than 30 percent.
InkCartridges.com's environmentally conscious efforts have allowed for the continuous reduction of pollution and waste.
