Air Force Taps AECOM for Restoration, Remediation Jobs

AECOM Technology Corporation is one of approximately 40 companies awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment, according to a company press release.

The firm will primarily provide environmental restoration and remediation services under the five-year, performance-based Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction ’09 (WERC09) Program contract, which has a maximum value of up to $3 billion.

The company recently won two WERC09 task orders. The first includes the decommissioning and removal of groundwater-extraction and soil-vapor-extraction treatment systems at the March Air Reserve Base in California. Under the second task order, AECOM will be responsible for the remediation of surface soils at Wisconsin’s General Mitchell Air Reserve Station.
