EPA Releases 2011 Program Guidance for Five Offices

Air, solid waste, chemical safety, enforcement and more are covered in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's guidance documents for its Fiscal Year 2011 programs. EPA’s National Program managers issue guidance documents that provide the agency's 10 regional offices, the states, and tribes with guidance on programmatic priorities and implementation strategies for the coming year.

However, the agency notes that the guidance is based on the goals set through its five-year planning and the current period, 2010-2015, will not be completed until September. As a result, adjustments may be needed in the guidance information.

The National Water Program Guidance describes water program priorities and strategies, including the suite of water performance measures and their targets.

The latest Strategic Plan covered 2006-2011.
