Wilson Industrial Sales Wins NACD Distribution Award
Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc., based in Brook, Ind., won the National Association of Chemical Distributor's 2009 Responsible Distribution ProcessSM (RDP) Excellence Award.
The association recognized Wilson, a member of NACD for 14 years, for demonstrating outstanding performance in its distribution program.
"The RDP Committee is proud to recognize Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc., as the fourth recipient of this award," said James Benning, vice chair of the committee and director of operations for Hubbard-Hall Inc. "Their commitment to the environment and recycling of products, their involvement in the local community and the education of their employees has established them as high achievers. Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc. is an outstanding example of RDP in action."
In accepting the award, company founder and former president Tom Wilson commented, "We are proud to be associated with the NACD and appreciate the value membership brings in assisting us in our efforts to manage the risks to our employees, communities, and the environment that are associated with the products we sell. I would also like to thank all of the employees at Wilson's who really put together our RDP procedures and whose continual suggestions for improvement and dedication to implementation have made this achievement possible."
Other finalists—Industrials Chemicals, Inc. of Alabama, International Distribution Corporation of Texas, J. Tech Sales, LLC of Florida and Mutchler Inc., Pharmaceutical Ingredients of New Jersey—were recognized during the ceremony.
