Tomić Joins HDR as National Hydraulic Modeling Lead
Saša Tomić, Ph.D., has joined HDR as national hydraulic modeling lead for its water business group and will be based in the company's New York, N.Y., office.
Tomić comes from Wallingford Software, where he most recently served as senior vice president of global product management.
He has 18 years of experience in hydraulic modeling covering various aspects of water resources, including 12 years of commercial modeling software development, and he is recognized as an international authority on water resources computational science.
Tomić received a master's degree in civil engineering with emphasis on surface water hydrology, a master's degree in computer science with emphasis on distributed networks and database systems, and a doctorate in stochastic hydrology, all from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He has co-authored three books and has had his work published in dozens of journals and publications. He has delivered more than 100 presentations at conferences, seminars and workshops.
