AWWA Webcast Explains 'Chemicals: Best Practices'

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) has announced that registration for the Chemicals: Best Practices for Quality Assurance Webcast is now open.

To be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MDT on Aug. 5, the Webcast will provide practical tools and tips to ensure that utilities are selecting and using the right chemicals, evaluating feed systems, establishing appropriate delivery procedures, and reviewing their security and emergency response plans appropriately.

Attendees will learn to recognize current market perspective and drivers for chemicals, analyze factors for chemical selection, design of chemical system for quality assurance, optimize water treatment chemical selection and dosing, and much more.

Presenters include Brad Coffey, water treatment manager, Metropolitan Water District for Souothern California, Los Angeles, Calif.; Raj Vaidya, Ph.D., engineer IV, CDM, Tampa, Fla.; and Phil Zollinger, water maintenance supervisor, St. Paul Regional Water Services, St. Paul, Minn.
