Webcast: Water Utility Action Can Lower H1N1 Impact
As health organizations continue to monitor the spread of the H1N1 virus and focus on containing the spread of the disease, the water community, in its commitment to public health, is paying close attention. Although disinfected tap water does not transmit the disease, there are still actions utilities can take to diminish the impact on customers.
From 1 to 2 p.m. EDT on May 14, the American Water Works Association will host the H1N1 Planning and Response for Water Utilities Webcast. During the Webcast, a panel of experts will speak to water professionals about reviewing and updating emergency plans, while offering practical advice on how utilities can prepare for a pandemic influenza.
