Bodine Joins Barnes & Thornburg

Susan Parker Bodine, former assistant administrator of EPA's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, is now a partner in the Environmental Law Department at Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Washington, D.C., office.

At EPA, Bodine managed nearly 600 employees and an annual budget of more than $1.3 billion to administer programs related to the clean up and prevention of hazardous substance releases.

"Barnes & Thornburg will provide a terrific platform that will allow me to continue to work in D.C. and around the country to promote the successful revitalization of contaminated properties, appropriate management of wastes and hazardous substances, and environmentally sound development," Bodine said. "Barnes & Thornburg also is well known nationally for its Clean Water Act practice. I am excited about the opportunity to work once again on wetlands, water pollution control and infrastructure issues."

Bodine earned a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1988.
