AWWA Webcast Focuses on High Tech Tools for Operators

On March 11, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) will host a High Technology Tools for Operators Webcast, according to a Feb. 17 press release.

High-tech solutions were once implemented by only the largest water utilities. Today, many medium and small-sized utilities are realizing the benefits of implementing technology for process monitoring and control, equipment condition monitoring, asset management, document management, remote access to information, and many other applications across their organization.

This webcast examines how several high-tech solutions have been implemented successfully and divulges the keys to their success.

Webcast presenters include:

  • Uzair Shamsi, Ph.D., P.E., GISP, technical manager, Michael Baker Jr., Inc.
  • Elisabetta DeGironimo, Watershed and GIS Coordinator, Mohawk Valley Water Authority
  • Thomas DeLaura, P.E., president, Westin Engineering of Michigan, PLLC
  • Tom Walski, Ph.D., P.E., DAWRE, senior product manager, Bentley Systems
