DOE Slates Biomass Program Peer Review Meetings

The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Biomass Program recently announced its 2009 Program Peer Review.

The Program Peer Review is designed to provide an external, independent expert review of the Program's™ research portfolio and strategic direction. It will be conducted via a series of Platform Review Meetings, and a final Program Review Meeting. The Platform Review meetings will consist of technical reviews of individual projects in each of the Program's™ technology platforms. The Program Review will review the strategic direction of the Biomass Program and the results of the Platform Reviews. The review schedule follows:

• Platform Series I: March 19-20, Washington, D.C.

Analysis
Infrastructure

• Platform Series II: April 8-10, Washington, D.C.
Feedstocks Technology
Sustainability

• Platform Series III: April 13-17, Denver, Colo.
Biochemical Conversion and Biobased Products
Thermochemical Conversion and Biobased Products Projects

• Program Review Meeting: July 14-15, Rosslyn, Va.
