Black & Veatch Opens Milwaukee Office

Due to ongoing growth in its water business, Black & Veatch, a global engineering, consulting, and construction company, has opened a new office in Milwaukee, Wis. The office is at 225 East Mason St., Suite 801.

“While we have a long history of client service in Wisconsin, the new office will help us to enhance capabilities to add value for our clients and their projects,” said Dan McCarthy, president and chief executive officer of the company’s global water business. “The office provides clients with access to local Black & Veatch professionals, as well as a seamless gateway to our integrated global workforce and resources.”

Paul Boersma, associate vice president and client service manager, serves as the office leader and will manage business development and client service activities.

The company has an established record of successful projects in Wisconsin. It was the design engineer and primary consultant for Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District’s Northwest Side Relief Sewer project that won the 2006 Project of the Year award from the American Public Works Association. Wisconsin Public Service Corp’s Weston Unit 4 electric generation plant designed by the company is one of the cleanest fossil-fueled plants in the United States.

The company also provided design-build services for the Milwaukee Water Works ozone water treatment plant in the late-1990s and is currently involved with, or has recently completed, projects in Janesville, Green Bay, Appleton, and Madison.
