Del Nero Joins CH2M HILL in Atlanta
CH2M HILL, an engineering, construction, and operations firm, announced Dec. 9 that Don Del Nero has joined the firm as global tunneling technology specialist for the Global Conveyance Technology Group based in Atlanta.
Del Nero has more than 19 years of experience in planning, design, and construction management in the areas of civil, geotechnical, tunnel, and trenchless engineering. He will be responsible for a combination of business development, technical practice enhancement, project scope delivery, technical advisory, and quality assurance support.
Prior to joining the firm, Del Nero was the Kentucky area manager and a senior project manager with Hatch Mott MacDonald. He also has held tunneling positions with Jordan, Jones, & Goulding and Parsons Engineering Science. His project experience covers separate/sanitary sewer overflow and combined sewer overflow wastewater tunnels, highway tunnels, pedestrian tunnels, caverns, raw water intake tunnels, and large-diameter piping for gravity sanitary sewers and storm sewers.
Del Nero received a master’s degree in civil engineering from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University. He also holds a construction document technologist certification through the construction specifications institute and engineering licensure in multiple states.
