Aquatech Receives Second Project Award in Madagascar
Aquatech International Corp. of Canonsburg, Pa., has received an order from SNC-Lavalin Inc. (Toronto) as agent for the Ambatovy Minerals SA and Dynatec Madagascar SA nickel-cobalt mining and processing project in Madagascar (Ambatovy Project), according to a Dec. 3 press release.
The company will design, manufacture, and supply a SprayFilm Evaporator that will concentrate a nickel sulphate-bearing process stream. This industrial concentrator is expected to be delivered to the Ambatovy Project in late 2009.
In 2007, SNC-Lavalin Inc. awarded Aquatech a contract for the design, manufacture, and supply of a 12,380-gallons-per-minute clarifier, a 3,080-gpm ion exchange demineralization system, and 3,080-gpm iron removal filters for the Ambatovy Project. This equipment is in the final phase of shipment.
