BioShaft Water Technology Receives U.S. Patent Allowance
BioShaft Water Technology Inc. of Irvine, Calif. has received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office regarding its patent application for the BioShaft Wastewater Treatment plant and process, according to a Nov. 12 press release.
Upon issuance, BioShaft's process of treating wastewater will be protected by a patent in the United States. The company currently holds a patent in the United Kingdom and has filed a PCT application as well.
Hans Badreddine, Ph.D., president of BioShaft, said, "The patent protection in the United States is very valuable to the company as we seek to implement our environmentally friendly, virtually sludge-free wastewater treatment plants in the United States. We intend to work with engineering companies and all levels of government to demonstrate the benefits of BioShaft's wastewater treatment plants."
BioShaft is a wastewater treatment technology based on bio-Filtration using biomass carriers. These plants are made using the BioShaft Turbo Reactor that is at the heart of the wastewater technology. To date there are more than 30 wastewater treatment plants throughout the world using this technology.
