A&WMA Calls for Abstracts for 2009 Meeting
The Air & Waste Management Association has issued the call for abstracts for its 102nd Annual Conference & Exhibition, to be held June 16-19, 2009 in Detroit, Mich..
A&WMA welcomes original work on all environmental issues for the conference, themed "Driving Environmental Progress." Abstracts must be submitted by Dec. 5.
"Our Annual Conference& Exhibition is known for its high quality technical program and for providing attendees with the most up-to-date information available," said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA executive director.
Abstracts are solicited on current issues, case studies, and practical experience and will be evaluated for technical quality, and their relevance and significance to current environmental issues. Principal areas of interest include air, environmental management, resource conservation and waste management, education, international focus, and local and regional issues. The association also is seeking proposals for professional development courses to coincide with the conference. Proposal forms are available online at http://www.awma.org/files_original/CourseProposalForm.pdf, and are due by Nov.3.
