Green Gateway Fuel Station to Open June 30

Zarco 66 Earth Friendly Fuels and Dresser Wayne, global marketer of fuel dispensers and technologies, have planned a grand opening of Zarco 66's EPA-designated Green Gateway Fuel Station in Lawrence, Kan.

Zarco 66 is leveraging Dresser Wayne technology along with innovative Earth-conscious practices to transform an existing fueling station into an eco-friendly site. With only alternative fuels, it showcases the ways in which other fuel stations can "go green" and offer consumers a lower-priced alternative to gasoline. In fact, prices can be as much as 50 cents per gallon less than traditional fuels.

During the June 30 event, John Askew, regional administrator of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 and Adrian Polansky, secretary of the Kansas Department of Agriculture will speak.

The facility will offer ethanol blends. "Green" amenities include fluorescent lighting, recycle bins, wind and solar energy, as well as roof and rain gardens.
