Abstracts for AWWA's ACE08 in Atlanta Due Sept. 10
The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is accepting abstracts
for its Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE08) June 8 through 12,
2008, in Atlanta through Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
AWWA solicits oral and poster presentations for the conference's
professional program, and papers for both will be included in the
conference proceedings. The deadline for poster submissions is Jan. 7,
2008. Details for both abstract and poster submissions are available on
AWWA's new web site.
AWWA's annual conference provides the largest and longest-running
program worldwide for water professionals, presenting timely
information for water utility executives and managers, operators,
scientists, researchers and engineers. There are sessions designed for
utility board members and city council members, personnel directors,
public communications managers, customer service professionals and
financial managers. Manufacturers are encouraged to submit abstracts
outlining new technology, innovations or unique applications of
products or equipment of interest to the water quality community.
The program will consist of at least 100 half-day sessions, each
comprised of several presentations. Oral presentations are typically 20
minutes long, followed by a short discussion period. The organization
of each session is delegated to one or more of the AWWA divisions and
committees, which have the sole discretion of determining the format
and content of the session. In addition, the organizing groups select
poster presentations. Each group is required to review all pertinent
abstracts submitted; they may select some of the speakers from other
sources.
