Calling All Photographers

Help capture a little bit of immortality by participating in Environmental Protection's call for nature photographs.

Each month, we at Environmental Protection publish a nature photograph under the title "Protection Perspectives" in the print edition of our magazine. For our 2002 issues, we are calling on all professional and amateur photographs to participate in submitting photographs for possible publication.

Photographs may be sent to Angela Neville, JD, REM, Editor-in-Chief, Environmental Protection, 5151 Beltline Road, 10th Floor, Dallas, TX 75254. Please submit non-returnable color and black & white photographs and 35 mm color slides. Regular 3.5-inch, Zip disks and CD-ROMS are acceptable, either in IBM or Macintosh format, as long as the files are compatible with Adobe Photoshop. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your photograph, slide or disk returned to you.

Please send e-mail submissions to aneville@stevenspublishing.com. E-mail pictures must be 300 dots per inch (dpi), CMYK, three inches wide and formatted as either a .jpg, .tif, .eps, .psd, .bmp or .pdf.

A 100 to 125-word text describing the photograph, the geographical location where it was taken and the environmental significance of the shot must accompany all submissions. Those photographs submitted without text will not be considered for publication. In event of selection, we reserve the right to edit all text according to in-house style, grammar and space limitations.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to cancel this call for submissions at any time. If you have any questions, please contact Angela Neville at aneville@stevenspublishing.com.

Thank you for participating, and good luck!
