Paul Baier
VP Sustainability Consulting, Groom Energy
Paul leads Groom Energy's Sustainability Consulting practice, which assists Groom Energy's customers with their sustainability and energy reduction strategies, carbon footprint, and responses to supply chain surveys such as Walmart Supplier Assessment and Carbon Disclosure Project.
Paul a lead author of the forthcoming report on Enterprise SmartGrid and published Groom's research report titled “The 2011 Enterprise Energy and Carbon Accounting (EECA) Software Market: A Buyers Guide”. He also authors a sustainability blog, moderates EnterpriseSmartGrid.org and is a senior contributor for Greenbiz.com
Prior to his current role with Groom Energy, Paul held multiple senior executive roles with enterprise software service and management consulting firms such as Authoria, Open Market, AOL and Deloitte Consulting. Mr. Baier earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College.
David Hinchey
Senior Environmental Engineer, PSEG Fossil
Mr. Hinchey serves as an environmental project manager for PSEG Fossil. He has over 12 years experience in the power, oil and gas industry. Since joining PSEG David has led the Fossil Fleet in several projects including CEM XML conversions, EPA Consent Order Compliance, NJDEP Consent Ordered special environmental projects, and EMIS migration.
David’s background draws from experiences in Environmental Information Technology and an extensive environmental field resume. Prior to joining PSEG David led his own Geographic Remote Sensing and Information Systems Company, and consulted for the oil and gas industry.
David Cain
Senior Director, Environmental Solutions, IHS
David is responsible for the functionality and content of IHS Environmental, GHG and Energy Management solutions. In his more than 30 years experience in the energy and environmental industries, Mr. Cain has specialized in developing scalable, flexible, highly modular software products geared to address changing industry and business needs. He also has extensive experience in the electric utilities industry and specialization in the area of climate change. At IHS, he developed the pioneering enterprise greenhouse gas information management system, which was first used by private industry in 2002 and is now in use by companies in 60 countries to manage greenhouse gas calculations and reporting as well as GHG emissions trading programs.
Mr. Cain has BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering. Prior to his work with IHS, Mr. Cain worked at EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute).
