I think there is one important thing missing from the main news. Somebody should remind, what is the worst scale of this nuclear accident compared to what happened a) in Tshernobyl b) in Hiroshima and c) what would happen if the existing nuclear weapons would be used. This chain of events has been very sad, no question about it, but it is very far from what would happen in another nuclear war.

There were some design flaws in the total system, but it withstood the earthquake. The effect of the tidal wave is what has caused the failure.
