That's an absurdist comment, only matched by the absurdist polling question. There are many, many acts that I don't consider while doing my job. My job has nothing to do with endangered species, either for or against. So I answered honestly. It's not that I don't care, but to answer the actual question produced a negative response. So why do you automatically believe the worst in people? So how about this: Do you regularly take into account the Mann Act when you are doing your job? How would you answer that? Just saying.
