Cal EPA Approves Use of Methyl Bromide Monitor

July 25, 2008

Effective June 25, California's Environmental Protection Agency's Department of Pesticide Regulation has approved the use of a real-time remote sensor monitor to detect methyl bromide, in addition to colorimetric detector tubes.

The Air Check Advantage Continuous Methyl Bromide Monitor from PureAire Monitoring Systems now can be used to monitor enclosed areas, including greenhouse soil fumigation and commodity fumigation.

Designed for monitoring fumigation chamber clearing and storage areas, it's ideal for providing worker protection at orchards, growers, international airports, and seaports where commodities are fumigated before shipping.
