New Mexico Reducing Air Pollutants
With a grant provided by the EPA, the New Mexico Department of Environmental Quality will be working to promote sustainability and pollution prevention on a state-wide basis.
The EPA granted New Mexico with a $598,224 grant to help combat and reduce hazardous air pollutants across the state. The New Mexico Department of Environmental Quality will be using the funds for sustainability and pollution prevention outlined by the Clean Air Act.
The Clean Air Act has been helping to reduce pollution in the U.S. for more than 40 years. The Act strives to cut the six most common pollutants: ozone, lead, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and particles.
