CNG Supplier Becomes ATA Featured Product Partner

Trillium CNG is building a network of compressed natural gas fueling stations to serve the commercial trucking industry.

Trillium CNG, a company that provides compressed natural gas to fleets, is now a Featured Product partner with the American Trucking Associations. "With environmental sustainability and the U.S. energy boom at the forefront of many business decisions, we're pleased that Trillium CNG will be helping ATA members take advantage of the many opportunities natural gas can present the trucking industry," ATA President and CEO Bill Graves said March 7.

Trillium CNG also offers compressed natural gas facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance services and specializes in fueling heavy-duty fleets. The company is a business unit of Integrys Energy Group Inc. with its primary offices in Chicago; Green Bay, Wis.; Salt Lake City; and Midland, Texas.

"Trillium CNG is excited to work with the American Trucking Associations and its membership to educate and promote the benefits of switching to compressed natural gas," said Mary Boettcher, the company’s president. "We are building a network of compressed natural gas fueling stations, making natural gas fuel more accessible and convenient. By the end of 2014, Trillium CNG will be operating over 100 CNG stations, with over half of them being public access."

Boettcher joined officials from the city of Orlando, the state of Florida, and Frito-Lay North America last month to cut the ribbon on a new fast-fill public-access CNG station at Lewis Petroleum's Silver Star Fuelman in the Princeton Industrial Park, two blocks from Frito-Lay North America's Orlando plant. Frito-Lay selected Trillium CNG to build the infrastructure to fuel its fleet of CNG tractor-trailers. It is an Amp Trillium station—Amp Trillium is a joint venture between ampCNG and Trillium CNG formed in 2012 to build a network of CNG stations across the country to serve the commercial trucking industry.
