The 2013 Gasification Technologies Conference will feature the latest updates on technological improvements, groundbreaking research, and important trends influencing the industry.

The Gasification Technologies Council (GTC), the premier trade association and authority on the gasification industry, has released the preliminary conference program. GTC will be hosting the event Oct. 13-16 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Co.

“This year’s conference will highlight some of the most significant developments and technological improvements in the global gasification industry,” said Alison Kerester, GTC’s executive director. “It will be the year’s best opportunity to learn the latest trends influencing the industry – and the policy issues impacting it – from the world’s foremost experts on gasification.”

This year’s program will feature sessions focused on global gasification projects, polygeneration gasification, gasification for hydrogen, gasification for power, advances in coal gasification, biomass gasification, and plasma gasification.  There also will be pre-conference gasification basics and project finance workshops.

The annual conference will bring more than 500 people and dozens of exhibitors from around the world, including China, Japan, India, and the Middle East.

“We are proud to host a conference that brings together the industry’s leaders and top experts,” Kerester said. “It is the ideal place to meet key industry people and discuss the most important technical, market and policy trends affecting the industry.”
