WWEMA to Address Manufacturers' Risks in Project Bids

The association has slated an industry event for March 30-31 in Indianapolis.

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) Finance & Contract Administration Council will present Managing Risk: Challenges Facing the Water and Wastewater Equipment Industry on March 30-31 in Indianapolis, Ind.

This event is designed to address risks encountered by product manufacturers and suppliers when bidding on water and wastewater projects. Tutorials exploring the pros and cons of two sets of procurement contract documents commonly used in the industry will be provided, along with results of a benchmark study on contract management practices used in the industry. Attendees will learn risk management techniques and take part in an "open mike" discussion on credit risks, export risks associated with the newest version of Incoterms, and other risk-related topics.

Meeting registration and hotel information can be found at www.WWEMA.org.

Since 1908, WWEMA has informed, educated, and provided leadership on the issues that shape the future of the water and wastewater industry.
