P.R. Public-Private Authority Sets Projects Conference

The Puerto Rico Public-Private Partnerships Authority will host its first Public-Private Partnerships: Puerto Rico Projects Conference on Oct. 15 and 16 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in the Miramar section of San Juan.

Participation costs $200 for those registering before Oct. 15 and $250 for those registering that day. Registration and hotel information is available through www.p3.gov.pr.

"The conference is designed to attract and acquaint potential investors and contractors to the Commonwealth's recently established Public-Private Partnerships program and the great opportunity we have here," said Carlos M. García, chair of the authority. "We have identified a series of projects involving solid waste management, water supply, waste-to-energy and renewable energy projects, transportation, ports, affordable housing, and telecommunications."

The conference will feature information about specific projects, in addition to presenting the role of partnerships in Puerto Rico's economic development and the process for initiating a project.
