Valve, Pump Outlook Workshop Scheduled
Registration is now open for the 2009 Market Outlook Workshop, which is organized by the Valve Manufacturers Association. The workshop, which will be held Aug. 13-14 in Chicago, will focus on key valve and pump industry markets. Registration details can be found at www.Pumps.org.
The Hydraulic Institute will also be hosting a meeting Aug. 12 for the HI Market Intelligence Committee (formerly the Statistics Committee), for pump industry analysts associated with HI member companies.
Economic and market presentations will be provided by the following:
- Michael Schneider, senior research analyst and managing director of Robert W. Baird and Company,
- Alan Beaulieu, economist from the Institute for Trend Research,
- Farid Abolfathi, managing director of Global Insight, Inc.. and
- Bob Tellier, divisional vice president of Global Sourcing, True Value Company.
