Advanced Disposal to Buy Jacksonville Operations
Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. recently signed a definitive agreement with Waste Services, Inc. for the sale of its Jacksonville hauling operations, recycling operations, and Jones Road Construction and Demolition Debris Landfill. The transaction is valued at $57.5 million and represents Advanced Disposal's largest acquisition to date.
The transaction is subject to close in early March pending lender approval and customary closing conditions.
The buyer is headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., and has four local operating locations in Duval, St. Johns, and Nassau counties. The company employs 366 individuals among its headquarters and local operations. The acquisition of the Jacksonville operations and landfill will increase the local employee count to more than 450.
