The Fracking Kit
The Forston Labs Fracking Kit measures increased concentrations of barium ion, chloride ion, nickel ion, sulfate ion, bromide ion, potassium ion, turbidity and changes in acidity. The Kit consists of a LabNavigator (required for all measurements), a full-range heavy-duty pH Sensor, a Turbidity Sensor, a Conductivity Sensor and a clear-language informative user’s guide for the non-chemist. It works by simply connecting one or more of the sensors to the LabNavigator, ensuring the accuracy by using one of the included non-toxic standards, dipping the sensor into a sample of well water and pressing a button which stores the test results for future use. The digital readout on the LabNavigator shows the results in an instant.
Vapor-Tight Groundwater System
Abanaki Corporation' Vapor-Tight, Explosion Proof Groundwater Remediation System is designed to keep explosive vapors from being vented into the atmosphere. The oil skimming system consists of Abanaki's PetroXtractor belt oil skimmer equipped with explosion-proof electrical components, vapor-tight belt housing and a self-sealing, well-casing mounting clamp. Optimum removal rates are achieved using the patent-pending LFO Fuzzy2 belt made from a special oil-attracting material whose tiny hairs increase surface area and collect light hydrocarbons efficiently. Typical applications are remediating oil contamination from groundwater using existing monitoring or remediation wells. The oil skimmer wiper blades scrape oil from the belt and discharge it into an Oil Concentrator, a small gravity separator that removes any trace water from the skimmed oil. The waste oil flows out of the Concentrator into a transfer tank where a pump activated by float switches sends the oil to a customer-provided waste oil vessel.

EPM-4 and EPM-6
The EPM-4 and EPM-6 models are the latest editions to the EPM Series of quarter-turn reversing electric actuators. The EPM-4 and EPM-6 are designed to eliminate wiring errors, increase reliability and provide simplicity during installation. The EPM-4 provides a torque output of 455 in-lb./ 50 Nm, and the EPM-6 an output of 600 in-lb./67 Nm. Both models feature a robust gear train design and modular construction, as well as a NEMA 4/4X enclosure. Additional features include aluminum alloy dry powder coated housing, internal low power heater, four limit switches (2 Auxiliary), ISO5211 F07 mounting pattern, data logging and diagnostics,(proportional control only) for EPM-6 and CSA listed.
Turbo X-Treme Aerator
The Turbo X-Treme Aerator is a high-efficiency, floating/surface aerator, powered by an energy-saving 25 h.p. motor. It incorporates a “turbo” blower to achieve high-capacity water movement with maximum aeration and mixing incorporated in a discharge manifold. During operation, it raises the dissolved oxygen level in the water (in ponds, lagoons, etc..) while providing high-capacity water movement. The aerator is ideal for a wide variety of applications, including municipal, industrial, agricultural and disaster recovery. It is made of stainless steel, and carries a one-year warranty.
CNIguard Intrusion Detection System
CNIguard intrusion detection system is designed to protect access points in drinking water distribution systems against the threat of intentional contamination. The system utilizes a patented Smart Sensing Technology to detect tampering such as drilling, grinding and cutting; while virtually eliminating costly false alarms. The computerized system can distinguish between real threats and common occurrences such as heavy rain, hail, etc. and is rated for a maximum of one false alarm per year. CNIguard does not rely on human interpretation to determine if a threat is real.
Vadose Organic Substrate (VOS)
The Vadose Organic Substrate features bioremediate chlorinated solvents in the unsaturated soils. The technology allows the thixotropic gel to form a stable oil/water suspension that remains in situ after injection. This suspension provides an anaerobic environment in the vadose zone with the appropriate nutrients for the microbes to remediate recalcitrant compounds, such as chlorinated compounds.
BioBarrier Membrane BioReactor utilizes flat sheet membranes for a versatile design and robust process in wastewater recycling. Engineered in a small footprint and immersed directly in the aeration process, the BioBarrier has a high surface area of membrane material in a double plate configuration. Treated water moves through the pores to the space between the films; a pump then extracts the clean water to discharge into the environment. BioBarrier removes biological along with E. Coli and fecal coliform without add on disinfection.

SFT 10 High Pressure Carbon Dioxide Pump
The SFT-10 pump can pressurize carbon dioxide up to 10,000 psi (69 MPa) at flow rates from 0.01 to 24.0 ml/min. The characterisitics make the pump useful in high pressure applications, including supercritical fluid extraction, supercritical fluid reaction chemistry and chromatography. It utilizes reliable, dual sapphire syringe pump technology to achieve high pressures rapidly. The Peltier chiller has cooling capabilities that maintain the temperature at the pump heads low enough to ensure the carbon dioxide remains liquid.

N-TOX Toxicity Monitors
Water Innovate’s N-TOX instruments serving Severn Trent Water are patented toxicity monitors used for detecting nitrification inhibition events in wastewater treatment facilities that can lead to inadequate treatment performance and discharges to the environment with high ammonia concentrations. N-TOX has applications in greenhouse gas monitoring to reduce the carbon footprint. It is also capable of measuring nitrous oxide off-gases from a variety of wastewater treatment processes including activated sludge, sequencing batch reactors, industrial continuously stirred bioreactors, and trickling filters.

It is an integrated Purge-and-Trap Gas Chromatograph (GC) that can help operators optimize water treatment at the plant and evaluate water age in the distribution system for improved control over the formation of THMs. The THM Analyzer was designed for high-precision, high accuracy measurement of THM and offers a full complement of calibration and quantization routines. Mueller Systems’ 420 RDM is a remote disconnect meter (RDM) that allows municipalities to remotely manage water services through AMI networks from the office or from their vehicles. Emerson’s Rosemount Analytical WQP Systems measure in real time fluoride, ammonia, ammonia and monochloramine, and ammonia and fluoride together. Their menu-driven industrial ion selective analyzer is capable of calibrating, outputting, displaying and controlling in ppm units.
