Tideflex Technologies’ aeration system combines coarse and fine bubble aeration components to improve mixing and oxygen transfer while preventing backflow and clogging. The custom engineered system uses the Tideflex TFA coarse bubble diffuser to provide rapid mixing while the Tubeflex Fine Bubble Air Diffuser provides the fine bubble supplement. This combination increases transfer efficiency due to the entrainment in higher velocity loops created by the TFA. The air diffusers incorporate patented Check Valve technology. The combined system reduces energy use and lowers total airflow requirements.
Walchem has introduced the WDP400 Series Dual Input pH/ORP controllers. These controllers are designed for a broad range of industrial, commercial, and municipal water treatment applications. WDP controllers accept two electrode signals, in any combination of pH and ORP, and are offered in a convenient pre-wired NEMA 4X wall mount package that can be installed in minutes. The dual input model reduces space requirements. Integrated data logging is available to validate system performance. The latest version of JWC Environmental's Channel Monster XD 3.0 has advanced into an ideal grinder and screening system for wastewater pump stations. The XD 3.0 is 13-feet tall, weighs 9,300 pounds, and produces 7 tons of cutting force at peak loads. The device combines rotating screening drums and a Muffin Monster® grinder to shred solids while processing up to 59 million gallons per day. This combination is ideal for pump stations since the grinder shreds rags, plastics, wood, and trash so particles flow easily through pumps and pipelines. The unit has multiple motors -- a 15 hp for the grinder and 1 hp for the drums. The grinder has larger 3-inch hex drive shafts and stainless steel coil drums with ½-inch diameter rod. This new design features larger cutters, shafts and housings so the grinder can process heavy debris and first flush storm loading.
KFS Humidity Sensors
Servoflo Corporation of Lexington, Mass., offers the KFS Series of humidity sensors from Hygrosens of Germany.
The series is a relative humidity sensor using a capacitive polymer to measure humidity. Key features include excellent price-to-performance ratio, good linearity, low hysteresis, compact size, and dew resistance. The KFS Series is also stable against chemical effects.
Measuring only 2 mm x 4 mm x 3.8 mm, the KFS-MSMD is a surface-mount version with a better signal-to-noise ratio then monolithic integrated sensors. As one of the smallest discrete humidity sensors in the world, the KFS-MSMD is priced under $7 for 1,000 pieces. This low-cost sensor is suitable for climate monitoring, HVAC, and other environmental monitoring systems.

VICI Metronics’ Dynacalibrator® Model 150 is a constant temperature system designed to generate precise ppm or ppb concentrations of chemical compounds in a gas stream, using permeation devices as the trace gas source. It is used as a reference for the calibration of gas chromatography instruments and in other instruments that measure gas concentrations.
A passivated Inertium® coated stainless steel permeation chamber houses the permeation device(s), with measured inert carrier gas sweeping the calibration gas/vapor from the chamber. The digital temperature controller maintains the chamber temperature at a setpoint with an accuracy of ±0.01°C, traceable to NIST standards. Reduced flow path volume permits low concentration generation of mercury, water, and other difficult-to- work-with materials.

This product has low, 1 ppt detection limits, fast sample throughput, and high capacity. Its 270-position autosampler will enhance the productivity of any laboratory involved with mercury analysis. The unit incorporates new software that automates the analytical process from Method Development to Final Report Generation. Help is provided in the software including scheduled maintenance and audio/visual tutorials.
This analyzer also can be upgraded to direct solids analysis.

HDPE Grease Interceptor Tank
Advanced Drainage Systems' grease interceptor tank design meets ASTM’s new standard, ASTM F2649 Standard Specification for Corrugated High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Grease Interceptor Tanks. The ADS tanks provide a watertight and long-life system that can be designed to resist the heated, corrosive discharges found in food waste. Ready to install, the tanks are available in 750-, 1,000-, 1,500-, and 2,000-gallon capacities.
Grease interceptor tanks are installed between a commercial kitchen and the sanitary sewer system to prevent grease from conveying to sanitary sewer plants.

Base Container BC450
Assmann Corp. of Garrett, Ind., introduces the Base Container BC450 double-wall rectangular, low profile, chemical storage tank for various material handling applications. The primary tank holds 450 U.S. gallons and allows intermediate bulk containers (IBC) to be quickly emptied and back on the road, offering savings on container rentals and storage space. The intermediate bulk container is placed on top of the BC450 to drain. The BC450 is constructed from rugged, durable crosslink polyethylene or FDA-approved and NSF-certified linear polyethylene.
The new base container is designed to hold chemical tote bins for up to 3½ hours and offers a partially sloped bottom for near complete draining from top suction.

Schneider Electric of Palatine, Ill., has introduced the latest additions to its range of motor control products with TeSys® D 40A, 50A and 65A contactors featuring Everlink® termination technology.
“Schneider Electric’s Everlink technology is exclusive to TeSys D 40A, 50A and 65A contactors and TeSys GV3P 40A and 65A manual motor protectors,” said Tim Roberts, Schneider Electric staff product specialist.
Everlink termination technology saves time by providing a direct connection to TeSys D overload relays and TeSys GV3P manual motor protectors without requiring an interconnect block. Everlink technology also reduces wiring errors with direct connections. Spring termination technology moves with the wire as it relaxes over time to reduce the need to retighten.

These valves feature a non-rotating stem to prevent galling and scoring and are engineered to deliver reliable operation at working pressures up to 60,000 psi in temperatures ranging from100° to 450°F (-73° to 232°C). They feature a Vee or Regulating tip stem and six body styles to accommodate a wide variety of applications. Typical applications include general plant service, instrument isolation, hydraulics, pneumatics, pressure measurement devices, and venting, among others.
