Modular SFC

Recirculating Evaporator

Modular SFC’s Centrifan Recirculating Evaporator works without a vacuum pump. The standalone device uses gas flow created by a spinning rotor and heater to accelerate the evaporation of aqueous and organic solvents. The blow drying continuously sheers off the top layer of liquid, while the centrifugal force holds non-volatile compounds in place. The unit is designed to save energy and laboratory space, and eliminate oil cleanups, heat, noise and vacuum tubing.

    UV-curable Epoxy System

    Master Bond’s UV22 nanosilica-filled UV-curable epoxy features a nano-sized filler that provides cured system abrasion resistance, optical clarity and low shrinkage. The tensile strength of the cured epoxy is greater than 4,600 psi and its tensile modulus is greater than 500,000 psi. The product cures upon exposure to UV light at room temperatures. The single-component system requires no mixing, and has a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The UV22 is solvent-free, not oxygen inhibited and is available for use with syringe applicators.

      Network Repeater

      The Model 4683-TTM-3F RS-485 network repeater from Acromag is designed for use with Johnson Controls N2 or BACnet MS/TP bus control systems. The device drives up to 32 RS-485 devices and isolates and boosts signals up to 4,000 feet. Electrical surge protection with 1,500-volt AC isolation shields the host computer from destructive noise spikes and other transient signals. The product has multiple LEDs and field-selectable EOLN terminations. The device is available in 24-, 115- and 230-volt AC power models.

        Vacuum Generators

        EXAIR’s Adjustable E-Vac® series of compressed air-powered vacuum generators adjust vacuum and flow rates to suit application requirements. The vacuum pumps are designed for a variety of box opening, clamping, lifting, chucking and surface mounting applications. With a turn of the unit, vacuum and flow levels can be changed to overcome porosity and increase or decrease the lifting power. The straight-through, single-stage aluminum construction requires no vacuum filter and passes contaminants from dirty environments through the unit.

          Non-incendive Barriers

          Phoenix Contact’s non-incendive barriers use current- and voltage-limiting circuitry to minimize the risk of ignition in hazardous Class I, Division 2 or Zone 2 environments. The PI/NI-2D/24 barrier protects 24-volt digital signals in the event of a short circuit or over-voltage condition. The PI/NI-2I/I version limits the maximum short circuit current to 24 mA in 4-20 mA loops. The units can be installed with two-wire 4-20 mA transmitters.

            Tubular Heat Exchanger

            Munters’ Thermo-T tubular heat exchanger recovers energy from processes with temperatures up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Welded construction prevents cross-contamination, and thermal-expansion joints allow the device’s heat-exchanging tubes to expand in high-temperature applications. The unit features numerous configurations and airflows from 3,000 scfm to 30,000 scfm.

              Drum Skimmer

              Elastec drum skimmers are designed to handle multiple types of petroleum spills, from jet fuel to crude oil. The skimmers recover oil by rotating a drum through the oil-water interface. Oil sticks to the drum surface and is recovered inside the floating head. The drum skimmers respond to vegetable oil and bio-fuel spills as well, and are effective in recovering pollutants in marine environments and industrial pits.

                Dry Air System

                Parker domnick hunter’s PNEUDRI MiDAS is a mini dry air system that provides plant engineers uninterrupted clean and dry compressed air. The unit contains a particulate filter and a desiccant cartridge inside a single module. The product features top-end re-pressurization and a quick-release top cap arrangement that does not require inlet/outlet ports to be disconnected. The unit is available at a pressure dew point of -40 or -100 degrees Fahrenheit, and at flow rates of 3- to 20-scfm at 100 psig.

                  The BREEZE Risk Analyst is human health and ecological risk assessment software. The product can be used to conduct GIS-based analyses of multi-pathway human health risk assessments, or food-web based ecological risk assessment modeling. The application provides framework for conducting risk assessment modeling for both regulatory and non-regulatory applications, including air monitoring health impact analysis, air toxics risk assessment and ecological risk assessment. The software is available as a standalone application with GIS capabilities or as an Environmental Systems Research Institute ArcView™ Extension.

                      Static Mixer

                      Westfall’s Model 2800 in-line static mixer is designed for any dosing application requiring the pumping of four different chemicals into a pipe simultaneously. The mixer mounts directly into a piping system and features a fixed-plate with an internal design that mixes using a combination of alternate vortex shedding and intense shear zone turbulence. Available in sizes from ¼- to 120-inches in diameter, the product uses Saf-T-Flo™ retractable injectors and can incorporate one to six injection nozzles.

                        The Millennium III™ chlorine dioxide generation systems are the next generation in disinfection and oxidation technology combining high performance with durability and simplicity. These generators combine a 25% sodium chlorite with chlorine gas or 12.5% sodium hypochlorite and 15% hydrochloric acid to form chlorine in situ, under vacuum conditions to generate chlorine dioxide safely and efficiently.
