ADS’s 36LP is a plastic leaching chamber designed for challenging installations, such as those in high groundwater conditions or with other site restrictions. The chamber’s 20-degree integral articulating joint works in straight or contoured septic leach field applications. The product incorporates a “lock and drop” joint that provides a more positive connection during installation and backfill, and also features a universal inlet/outlet end cap, two inspection vent ports with easy-to-remove knockouts and diamond plate texture for slip resistance.
AMS’s PowerProbe 9100-SK direct push system is portable, maneuverable, and versatile. The rugged rubber tracks keep the unit moving when soil conditions get soft, wet, or muddy, with minimal disturbance to the worksite. The probe can be easily removed to allow use of the carrier vehicle and accessories, such as the bucket, pallet forks, and backfill blade. The machine also features a powder-coated finish, anodized metal power track, spring-loaded pull yoke, and a 50 ft-lb hydraulic hammer.
MIDAC’s open path Fourier transform infrared spectrometers can measure extreme path lengths, which enables users to analyze methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide with up to single-digit ppb detection limits. A 60-inch source array sends an infrared beam to a receiving telescope that can be more than a kilometer away; the spectrometer measures the air between them.
Assmann’s molded-in full drain outlet assembly for tanks that are 2,500 gallons and larger enables operators to empty the vessel without using mechanically installed nozzles. The assembly can be used where heavy solids or salts may accumulate in the bottom of the tank. This smart software tool translates data provided by the ADM into actionable information. It can run on a server in the control room, turning the complete fieldbus infrastructure into an open book that can be read even without expert knowledge.
Kimberly-Clark Professional’s WypAll X90 cloths provide 75 percent more oil absorption and 35 percent more water absorption than WypAll X80 wipers. The product is ideal for heavy wiping, prepping surfaces with solvents, and cleaning metal shavings and rough surfaces. The cloths are manufactured with hydro-entangling polyester fiber for softness and oil absorbency, and wood fiber for water absorbency.
BioAir Solutions’ EcoPure® Mini is a compact dual-technology odor control system that uses the company’s EcoBase™ structured, synthetic biotricking filter media. It eliminates hydrogen sulfide and volatle organic compounds without using hazardous chemicals. The system can handle airstreams ranging from 50 to 1,000 cfm and comes pre-installed on a stainless steel skid, making installation possible in less than a day.
Moyno Inc.’s metering pump has enhanced pumping elements and VFD/motor controls that expand the scope of application and optimize economical and efficient performance, particularly when dosing, sampling, and metering low-flow liquids. The VFD/motor controls improve metering accuracy and repeatability. The pump’s progressing cavity design results in a flow free from pulsation and variation in velocity and volume, which prevents waste and mixture imbalance.

The pumps are configured to process solids more easily and to reduce clogging while improving hydraulic efficiency. The air-filled motor, dual mechanical seal, and seal chamber work to enhance overall pump efficiency and durability. Less wear of pump components over longer periods of time reduces both maintenance and energy costs. The pump’s seals feature better leak detection and are designed with hard faces that endure abrasive conditions in wastewater applications.

Wilden’s Advanced metal series T1510 air-operated double-diaphragm pumps, known as the Brahma, are designed for harsh solid-handling applications. This completely submersible product is a 76mm (3 inch) flap-valve pump with bolted construction. The pump’s large internal clearances and top-suction/bottom-discharge operation eliminate clogging, which allows for flow rates up to 977 lpm (258 gpm) and maximum pressures to 8.6 bar (125 psig) with a maximum dry-suction lift capability of up to 7.4m (24.4 feet).
Videx’s CyberKey Vault 20 is a smart key cabinet. Electronic keys that are stored in it contain no permissions to open any locks in a facility. Rather, when an employee needs a key, his or her RFID card or PIN must be entered to open the vault and request a key to be programmed and released. The key that is released contains the access permissions specific to that person. The product also automatically sends audit reports to management.
The EWP Prestige is the latest incarnation of AquaEWP's proprietary electronic water purification systems based on Capacitive Deionization and the Flow-Through Capacitor. Designed for industrial use in treating contaminated water without the need for expensive membrane-based filtration, the system can be configured with multiple units in series to treat water up to 35,000 ppm (seawater), or can be configured in parallel to treat from one-to-100 gallons per minute. This product was entered in Environmental Protection's 2010 New Product of the Year awards program under the Water category.

The system can be economically applied with many industrial and chemical processes that exhaust ammonia and organic compounds where NOx emissions are of concern and are designed to remove ammonia (and ammonia derivatives) from either a liquid waste stream or from a vapor exhaust. This product was entered in Environmental Protection's 2010 New Product of the Year award program under the Air Quality category.
