It measures air flow from 1 to 125 SFPS, nitrogen from 1 to 150 SFPS, and compressed air from 4 to 400 SFPS. Accuracy is +1% of reading, +0.5% of full scale, with repeatability of +0.5% of reading. This meter is designed to work in crowded equipment or hazardous plant areas where explosives, flammable, or toxic gases may be present.
Casella USA
Air Sampling Pumps
The TUFF™ line of personal air sampling pumps from Casella USA features a sealed case with rubber over-molding that protects internal electronics from moisture, extreme temperatures, solvents, and impact. Offering a flow range from 5 ml/min to 4.5 l/min, the three pumps that comprise the new line are suited to occupational health applications such as simple abatement sampling or specialized industrial hygiene monitoring of dusts, fumes, and vapors. All pumps incorporate a double-acting diaphragm pump mechanism with precise digital control, providing real-time flow control and stability.
Red Valve Co.
Slurry Knife Gate Valve
The Series DX Slurry Knife Gate Valve is designed for heavy slurry applications in the power and mining industries. When the valve opens, the reinforced elastomer sleeves seal against each other and provide a 100 percent full port opening, minimizing turbulence and wear. The seats isolate and protect all metal parts from the process. Each time the strokes, the valve discharges a small amount of slurry, keeping the gate path and seat area clear of entrapped particulates.
Perma Pure
Dilution Probe
Baldwin Model 45 Dilution Extraction Probe eliminates the need for conditioning systems and high-cost heated lines by reducing water vapor content in sample gas. The out-of-stack system dilutes the sample gas with dry air by a ratio of between 25:1 and 250:1. This device features a unique hard metal critical orifice for improved durability, repeatability, and cleaning during blowback. The probe is housed in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure for external mounting.
Rypos
Diesel Particulate Filter
The California Air Resources Board has verified the Rypos DPF/Low Emission Transport Refrigeration Unit (Level 2 Plus) diesel particulate filter for use on most trailer transport refrigeration units (TRUs) using 2002 and older model year engines. The self-cleaning diesel exhaust filter uses an electrically conductive sintered metal fiber medium and electrical power from the TRU to regenerate the filter when needed. It is microprocessor controlled with a backpressure control system, an electrical control circuit, and a backpressure warning indicator.
VICI Metronics Inc.
Model 150 Dynacalibrator®
VICI Metronics’ Dynacalibrator® Model 150 is a constant temperature system designed to generate precise ppm or ppb concentrations of chemical compounds in a gas stream, using permeation devices as the trace gas source. It is used as a reference for the calibration of gas chromatography instruments and in other instruments that measure gas concentrations.
A passivated Inertium® coated stainless steel permeation chamber houses the permeation device(s), with measured inert carrier gas sweeping the calibration gas/vapor from the chamber. The digital temperature controller maintains the chamber temperature at a setpoint with an accuracy of ±0.01°C, traceable to NIST standards. Reduced flow path volume permits low concentration generation of mercury, water, and other difficult-to- work-with materials.
Photovac, Inc.
PetroPRO for BTEX
Photovac, Inc., the manufacturer of premium instruments for volatile organic compound analysis in air, soil, and groundwater, has introduced the PetroPRO for the detection of BTEX compounds.
The measurement of BTEX compounds (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene) is critical to maintain compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations. The intrinsically safe PetroPRO provides real-time measurements and, with its gas chromatography-based technology, it offers unsurpassed accuracy with the lowest detection limits available in a portable instrument. The PetroPRO is easy to operate, thereby minimizing training time. With the simple push of a button, the PetroPRO runs through the BTEX analysis and provides quick results.
Teledyne Leeman Labs
Hydra IIAA
Teledyne Leeman Labs of Hudson, N.H., a manufacturer of analytical instrumentation for elemental analysis, has released the Hydra IIAA Automated Mercury Analyzer.
This product has low, 1 ppt detection limits, fast sample throughput, and high capacity. Its 270-position autosampler will enhance the productivity of any laboratory involved with mercury analysis. The unit incorporates new software that automates the analytical process from Method Development to Final Report Generation. Help is provided in the software including scheduled maintenance and audio/visual tutorials.
This analyzer also can be upgraded to direct solids analysis.
Dürr Environmental Inc.
Solvent Concentrator System
The Ecopure® disk integrated solvent concentrator system from Dürr Environmental has its adsorbent media (activated carbon or zeolite honeycomb block) in a horizontally mounted, rotating disk. Optional filters may be placed upstream of the adsorbent media to remove particles and even out the flow of pollutants. Activated carbon and zeolite rotary concentrators are available in standard sizes for air volumes ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 scfm.
Camfil Farr
Indoor Filter
The Camfil Farr Riga-V™ air filter provides high-efficiency filtration. Available in three ASHRAE efficiencies (MERV 11, 13, and 14), the filter offers greater dust-holding capacity and a lower pressure drop. It may be used in commercial buildings, schools, health care facilities, industrial plants, utilities, and other applications. A high-lofted synthetic medium in a V-pleat configuration produces optimized performance. The frame components create a rigid, media support system to ensure filtration performance under varying airflow conditions.
Farr Air Pollution Control
Indoor Filter
The HemiPleat™ high efficiency filter from Farr Air Pollution Control offers a MERV 15 efficiency rating and up to twice the service life and half the pressure drop of standard dust collector cartridge filters. Available in sizes to fit any cartridge collector, the filter media can be used to capture toxic and other ultra-fine dusts and in applications where process air is recirculated downstream of the collector for energy savings.
Duall
Pollution Control System
The Duall AroBIOS™ Bioscrubber System, a biological air pollution control technology, effectively removes odors and gaseous contaminants such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and other reduced-sulfur compounds without the use of chemicals or incineration methods.
