The Fracking Kit

The Forston Labs Fracking Kit measures increased concentrations of barium ion, chloride ion, nickel ion, sulfate ion, bromide ion, potassium ion, turbidity and changes in acidity. The Kit consists of a LabNavigator (required for all measurements), a full-range heavy-duty pH Sensor, a Turbidity Sensor, a Conductivity Sensor and a clear-language informative user’s guide for the non-chemist. It works by simply connecting one or more of the sensors to the LabNavigator, ensuring the accuracy by using one of the included non-toxic standards, dipping the sensor into a sample of well water and pressing a button which stores the test results for future use. The digital readout on the LabNavigator shows the results in an instant.

    MultiCal ISE

    The Multi-Cal ISE system allows the user to store multiple calibration ranges in the laboratory and then retrieve them for use as needed in the field. The Multi-Cal kit provides from two to four calibration ranges and the LabNavigator monitors up to four ISE's simultaneously. The handheld LabNavigator with Multi-Cal for ISE provide multi-range, immediate, spot-on, field chemical analysis. Multi-Cal kits are available for Nitrate, Ammonium, pH, Calcium, and Chloride with others on request.

      Spectrophotometer and Fluorometer

      Forston Labs’ NavSpec™ Plus Spectrophotometer and Fluorometer allows the user to collect a full wavelength spectrum (absorbance, percent transmittance, or intensity) in less than one second. Once the peak wavelength is determined, the user can determine the concentration of a solution or monitor rates of reaction. The optical range is 380 to 950 nm (VIS-NIR), and the meter has an optical resolution of 2.5 nm.

        CO2 Gas Sensor

        Forston Labs’ Carbon Dioxide Gas Sensor measures gaseous carbon dioxide in two ranges: 0 to 10,000 ppm and 0 to 100,000 ppm. The sensor connects directly to the LabNavigator instrument for continuous monitoring, time-based experiments or routine monitoring throughout a facility. Export data using NavPilot software provided to view data on a PC in NavPilot or in Microsoft Excel. Changes in CO2 levels occurring in the surrounding ambient air, respiration of organisms or reactions in a chamber can be monitored.

          Forston Labs’ LabNavigator is a handheld analytical meter for the lab, plant/facility or field. It collects data from a variety of sensor types including pH, ORP, ISE, colorimeter, turbidity, spectrophotometer, conductivity, TDS, salinity, force or impact, gas detection (such as CO2, O2), as well as soil moisture. The unit comes with an interface, electrode amplifier, temperature probe, USB cable, USB storage device, AC power adapter, NavPilot data analysis software and NavCoPilot method development software.
