Our EP audience may have differing opinions on a wide range of topics, but one thing is for certain: they love to comment! And we love hearing from you. That's why we created Voices for Change, where we pose thought-provoking topics and invite our outspoken audience to share their opinions and provide a forum for engaging discussions.


Created on Dec. 2, 1970, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was formed with the mission of protecting human health and the environment. Between oil spills, wind farms, recycling and air pollution (along with a myriad of other areas), the EPA aims to protect various facets of the environment. Now run by administrator Lisa P. Jackson, do you feel the agency lives up to its mission? Do you feel the EPA plays a vital role in environmental protection?

Hybrid vehicles combine a mixture of gas and electric power to operate, while electric vehicles are totally dependent on electricity. Both are supposed to be environmentally friendly, yet, research from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, suggests that electric vehicles emit potentially harmful particle matter more harmful than gasoline emissions – in China. Yet, we want to know how you feel about them both. Do you prefer either vehicle over the other? Why?
