Frederick, Md., Chooses MWH GIS-based Software

The City of Frederick, Md., has chosen MWH Soft’s InfoSWMM and InfoWater software as its advanced sewer and water modeling and design solutions.

The decision leverages the utility’s investment in ArcGIS technology from ESRI (Redlands, Calif.) by giving it technologically advanced GIS-centric software platform for managing, operating, and sustaining its drinking water and wastewater systems.

Built atop ArcGIS with native geodatabase support, the programs offer a single comprehensive, GIS-centric solution for analyzing and managing complex water distribution and sewer collections systems.

The city’s Water and Sewer Department operates and maintains public water and wastewater systems. The water distribution system consists of 211 miles of water lines with six water storage tanks, with a capacity of 6.75 million gallons. The collection system is comprised of 9 lift stations, 160 miles of sewer mains and 210 miles of stormwater lines.
